Tenosynovitis tibialis posterior and flexor digitorum longus tendon

Patient Positioning

Patient lies supine with a small pillow under the dorsal aspect of the ankle or legs in "frog-like" position. The ankle is lying on its lateral aspect.

Probe Positioning

Place the transducer with its anterior part over dorsal aspect of medial malleolus. Dorsal to it, the flexor tendons  can be seen.

tp: tibialis posterior tendon

fdl: flexor digitorum longus tendon

Note: Tenosynovitis of the tibialis posterior tendon with effusion, synovial hypertrophy and doppler signal
