Upper and lower ankle joint

Patient Positioning

Patient lies prone, foot hanging out of the examination table.

Probe Positioning

Place the transducer on a sagittal plane over the achilles tendon, which is easily palpated. Increase the depth of the image to visualize the osseous structures.
