[CPPD] Midfoot postinflammatory osteoarthritis

Patient Positioning

Patient lies supine with a small pillow under the dorsal aspect of the ankle or patient may seat on the examination table, knee flexed and the plantar surface of the foot on the table.

Probe Positioning

Place the transducer on a longitudinal plane over the midtarsal joints and ligaments of interest. You may better identify them by beginning the scan at the ankle joint and moving it step by step distally over the midtarsal joints.
