Patient Positioning

Patient lies prone, foot hanging out of the examination table.

Probe Positioning

Place the transducer on a sagittal plane over the achilles tendon, which is easily palpated. Perform the injection in plane into the peritenon.

The infiltration of hyaluronic acid is performed in plane into the peritenon of the Achilles tendon.
The infiltration of Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) or Autologous Conditioned Plasma (ACP) - plasma with a high concentration of platelets - is performed in plane into the peritenon of the Achilles tendon.
